Synopsis
Lizzie O'Malley, a twenty three year old free spirited young woman, is
on the run to find her purpose in life. In the summer of 2000, she returns home
to Boston, Massachusetts to begin a life that she can be proud of. On her first
night out on the town with a friend, tragedy strikes and she finds herself the
cause of emotional wreckage. Instead of dealing, she concentrates on the man
she met that first night.
Teagan Gallagher, a twenty two year old college student from Ireland, spends the summer of 2000 in Boston, Massachusetts, working towards his degree and partying his way through the city. One night he finds a beautiful American girl that he is desperate to spend the summer with.
Together, Teagan and Lizzie learn the ins and outs of an unconventional relationship. It isn't until their relationship is in so deep that it becomes impossible for one or the other to run away.

Review
I have mixed feelings about this book. It was a good read but didn’t
quite grasp my attention throughout. There were also some editing issues and
that is a big pet peeve of mine when reading. As much as I would like to, I
just can’t overlook it. It messes with the flow of reading.
I did like the story line and the drama flair that was brought into it.
But there were instances where I was just like ‘Really?!’ and wanting to slap
Lizzie for being so damn dramatic or insanely stupid. And then wanting to beat
the crap out of Teagan.
There were some funny parts to it that had me laughing. I mean who
wouldn’t laugh at a bunch of drunken idiots. I really wanted to love this
story. There were some mixed reviews and so I was hoping for a five star read,
however, it just didn’t quite do it for me. There was just no emotion and I was
so detached to the characters that I was like ‘meh, get over it’.
If you like sexy Irish men and summer flings then give it a try.
Everyone’s opinion is different.
