Review
Again, I have mixed feelings for this book.
The Epilogue from book one is not consistent with this book, so I was left somewhat
confused. This book did grab my attention more than the first however I still
struggled to get through it. The editing issues sooo bug me, so unfortunately
that can’t be overlooked and it does play a part in my rating.
Lizzie is still immature and insecure but yet
she supposedly has grown. I didn’t see it. She just seemed too needy and
indecisive and she’s still hung up on Teagan who royally screwed her over a
year ago.
We’re introduced to a new character, Nick. He
is an absolute sweetheart and sexy. He becomes a good friend to Lizzie and
loves her kid. Of course he wants more but she’s still nurturing her broken
heart over her baby daddy.
I’m giving this book 4 Stars because there
were some emotional moments and for that moment in the story I was able to have
an emotional connection with Lizzie. However, the events that took place took
me by total surprise and had me thinking ‘Why?’ I mean what was the purpose of
that happening. But nonetheless, it was a very emotional moment in the story.
I loved the friendship that Lizzie and Nick
had. They seemed to be having fun while harboring feelings for each other until
Lizzie was able to get her head out of her ass.
