Title: Never Giving Up
Series: The Never #3
Author: Anie Michaels
Genre: Adult, Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 29, 2014

Porter Masters wants nothing more than just to marry his love, Ella.

Ella Sinclair dreams of the day she can call Porter her husband and wants nothing more than to give him a family.

They have overcome many deep and dark obstacles and are finally ready to enjoy their “happily ever after.” The dream they share of marriage and a family, all hang in the balance as they encounter one more obstacle from their past that could ruin everything they have. With more on the line than ever before, Porter will stop at nothing to protect Ella – at all costs.

The past year fighting for their love can’t even compare to the fight they have ahead of them.

With their future happiness at risk, one thing remains true: they are never giving up.

I think this was a great ending to Ella and Porter’s journey. Anie Michaels does an amazing job conveying the love a parent should have for a child. I also love Porter. His character is just phenomenal. He is the perfect man any woman would be downright crazy not to want. He’s sweet, charming, and so damn sexy.

As much as I love this series, I just felt like this couple had already gone through so much already I kind of lost focus towards the middle. It just kinda dragged on for me. I found myself skimming through some parts to get to the real emotionally vested ones. However, with that being said, I still love this series. I fell in love with Porter and Ella from the very beginning. It’s a great series to read and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good true love story. This couple is definitely meant to be.

I love a book where the couples love for each other is so strong you can just feel the passion and love rolling off the pages. This is definitely that kind of book. Great job Anie Michaels! Looking forward to what’s coming next.

I leaned into him, resting my forehead against his chest, soaking up every ounce of calm that being near him offered.  “I’m finally strong enough to fight this on my own.  I need you for so many things, Porter.  I need you to love me, and make me laugh, and be a father to our child, and comfort me, and to build me beautiful houses, and to take me on picnics.”  I looked up at him, using my eyes to beg him to trust me in this.  “But tomorrow, I can fight that battle by myself.  In fact, I need to.  I want to.  And I’m going to win.”  He used one of his big, strong, callused hands to sweep my hair behind my ear, and then his gentle hand cupped the side of my face.
“I’m so proud of you,” he whispered, his words caressing my face, opening up my soul, and hiding inside my heart.  He pulled me into him again and I smiled against his chest.  I felt his hand drop to the small of my back while the other cradled my head against him.  I breathed him in again, loving what his embrace could do to me.  “I am so proud of you,” he repeated, even quieter and closer to my ear.  Only I could hear him.  I felt as if it were a gift he was giving me.  His pride.  There were a few things I knew in life to be true – undoubtedly, one-hundred-percent, absolute truths.  I knew that Porter loved me.  I knew that we were supposed to be together.  I knew he supported me, wanted me, cherished me, and appreciated me.  But to hear him say he was proud of me was fulfilling in a soul-lifting kind of way.
I took his praise and I felt it inside of me, lighting me up.  But his sentiment only mirrored what I already felt inside.  I was proud of myself.

Wow! This was definitely an emotionally draining and intense read. I completely and utterly fell madly in love with Porter in this book. Ella and Porter are put through the ringer and love is tested in the worst way. But there is no denying that the heart wants, what the heart wants.

I love Anie Michaels writing style. She gets to the depth of the emotions of the characters and it touches your heart. She pulls you in and draws out your emotions for this couple. I laughed and cried right along with them. The suspense, anticipation, chemistry and the very very sexy Porter will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

This book had my heart clenching, thumping, twisting and turning. It held my attention throughout and I just couldn’t put it down. My heart ached for Ella and Porter. But really Porter got to me the most because he’s so madly in love and I felt his pain, his anger, his passion and his love. Anie Michaels did an amazing job on this book.

I got a little whiplash with this book. My emotions were on one heck of a roller coaster ride. One minute I was angry and sad for Ella because of what she’s put through and the next minute I’m getting all giddy when Porter appears all well-mannered and shit. Even though he was a bit of an asshole at first you could still tell that he was going to be giving you some tingles.

I really like how the author portrays these characters emotions. It always makes for a great story when you can feel the emotions as you read. The chemistry and passion was definitely there. By the end I wanted to toss my kindle across the room. Ella has some issues that aren’t quite going away as quietly as she expected.

It gets real interesting. Tension rises, anticipation kills you slowly and then holy hell cliffhanger!!! I know some people hate cliffhangers. I honestly love them. I especially love them when it’s done right. When it leaves you wanting to scream, punch shit, smash your kindle and crave some more. That’s exactly what Anie Michaels has done. Very much looking forward to reading Book 2.
