I completely fell in love with Nicola Haken’s
writing in Being Sawyer Knight the first book in this series and I just had to
read the next one. I finally found the time to read Ryder’s story and sure
enough, Nicola did not fucking disappoint!!! This woman has such an amazing
ability to write M/M erotic stories. The stories are completely different,
unique and both absolutely amazing.
When I first was ‘introduced’ to Ryder in book one
I instantly liked him. He was just so vibrant and full of life. You get bits
and pieces of his story but not the extent of it. I had a feeling that his
story was going to be intense. This book was so much deeper on an emotional
level than the first but still sexy as hell.
Ryder and Mason couldn’t be any more opposites yet
so very similar. Ryder comes off as confident and strong, whereas Mason is more
timid and vulnerable. These two were superb together. A perfect match. Mason
was just so adorable. I loved him instantly. These two men were so fucking hot,
tender and passionate.
Nicola did an amazing job writing these characters
and delivering this story with such emotion and passion. This book had me
laughing, gasping, squirming, and giddy as shit. Ryder and Mason’s story is
captivating that will give you all the feels and beautifully written. I am
definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
I was born and raised in
Rochdale, England and have lived there ever since. Being a true home bird I now
reside on the same street I grew up on
with my parents a few doors up and my sister and family a few doors down. I
live with my husband, four children and rescue puppies, Pippa and Gio (named
after Giovanni Vecchio from Elizabeth Hunter’s Elemental Mysteries series!)
When I’m not locked away playing with my imaginary
friends I can usually be found running around and picking up after the kids
(and husband!) and being the all-round house slave. Oh… and if my kids ever ask
I moonlight as the Pink Power Ranger.
