This is a new-to-me author and I was very much anticipating this story. I’m a sucker for some dark and twisted love stories and that blurb drew me in. Since I had never read anything from this author I didn’t know what to expect but HOLY FUCKING HELL!!! Why haven’t I read this author’s work sooner?! I’m seriously at a loss for words here. To create and write such a twisted and daunting yet heart gripping story takes some serious fucking talent. So kudos, Ms. Winters because you have accomplished just that and you completely blew me away with this first impression. I will absolutely be looking into more of this author’s work.
I mean the suspense in this book alone will drive you fucking insane. It was killin me. I was sitting on the edge of my seat with my heart in my throat. I was so completely and utterly consumed in this story I could not put it down. There were times where I had no clue what the fuck was happening because this is certainly not one of those stories where you can predict the whole fucking story from the first page. OH HELL NO! This was a complete mind fuck!! I was glued to the pages from the very beginning with my heart pounding more and more the further into the book I got. There was a moment where I had to stop and take a breather and just give myself a WTF moment….and then dove right back in.
I wouldn’t say this is a dark romance, per se. It’s more suspenseful than dark and also for me I would’ve liked to see a little bit more on the romance/love side but this was so worth the read. I think this author did a great job as this is well written and has a great set of characters. If you like a total mind fuck and reading powerful intense and suspenseful reads then this is definitely one you do not want to miss.

This is a short quick prequel that leads you into the story of Forget Me Not. This is very well written and compelling from the very beginning. This author does a great job with this introduction to the characters and how it all begins. Willow Winters definitely leaves you captivated and wanting so much more.
