Book Recommendation + Review - Between the Sheets by Devon McCormack

I discovered this author through his collab with Riley Hart on the Metropolis Series. I fell in those boys so much I had to see what this Devon was like individually. So, this is the first book I picked up and man let me tell ya..... WOW! What a great first impression to a new-to-me author. I will definitely be looking into more of this author's individual work but this book was amazing!!

Title: Between the Sheets
Author: Devon McCormack
Publication Date: February 20, 2017
Genre: MM Romance

~ BLURB ~

“I fought one war on the battlefield. Now I fight another in my mind.”

Jay is always on the run—always looking for the next place to start a new life. But no matter how much he moves, he can’t escape the painful memories that haunt him. As he settles into his latest job in the warehouse at a glass bottle factory, he finds himself the target of his co-workers’ teasing. When he takes a stand against one of the bullies, a fight breaks out. His boss, a war vet named Reese, steps in, and Jay accidentally shoves him to the ground, revealing Reese’s prosthetic leg. Jay’s sure he’s gonna lose his job, but he’s blown away when he’s given another shot.

Reese is annoyed by the new guy. Jay is reckless and temper prone. Maybe Reese shouldn't have given him a second chance, but his attitude reminds him of his war buddy—a guy who he cared deeply for and who he lost under tragic circumstances. He just hopes Jay doesn’t let him down.

When an accident in the factory triggers one of Reese’s PTSD episodes, Jay returns the favor by being there for him and keeping anyone else from discovering the incident. Reese wants to move on and forget it ever happened, but Jay won’t let it go. And as much as Reese tries to keep his distance, there’s a heat—a passion—between them that he can’t resist. It leads them to the bedroom again and again, but Reese quickly realizes they’ve ignited more than the sparks they create between the sheets. And despite the tough-guy façade Jay puts on, underneath there’s a soul just as tortured and hurt as he is. He’s starting to fall for Jay, but he knows there’s a dark storm lurking in the back of his own mind—a storm that will return one day and destroy the beautiful connection they share.

Between These Sheets is a standalone romance novel with no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a happy ending.

Absolutely loved this book! Emotions flow right off the pages. The emotions that this author was able to portray with PTSD made the story relatable and made the story feel so real. I loved it from beginning to end. I could not put it down. Read it in one sitting. The chemistry between the MC's was undeniable and all around hot, steamy and sexy between these sheets!!! Great job Mr. McCormack!

~ About the Author ~

Devon McCormack spends most of his time hiding in his lair, adventuring in paranormal worlds with his island of misfit characters. A good ole Southern boy, McCormack grew up in the Georgian suburbs with his two younger brothers and an older sister. At a very young age, he spun tales the old fashioned way, lying to anyone and everyone he encountered. He claimed he was an orphan. He claimed to be a king from another planet. He claimed to have supernatural powers. He has since harnessed this penchant for tall tales by crafting whole worlds where he can live out whatever fantasy he chooses.

A gay man himself, McCormack focuses on gay male characters, adding to the immense body of literature that chooses to represent and advocate gay men's presence in media. His body of work ranges from erotica to young adult, so readers should check the synopses of his books before purchasing so that they know what they're getting into.

Book Recommendation + Review - WATCH ME by Ada Frost

I read this book a couple months back before I ventured back into the blogging world. I remember reading the first three books in this author's debut series The Surviving Series and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY with her writing. Each book took me on an emotional roller coaster and completely gutted me. So to say that this author was not only talented but had a way with captivating you from page to page. I knew it was a no brainer that I had to check out this new book when I came stumbling across it. I had no idea what I was in for. That cover alone had me intrigued as hell. Ms. Frost did not disappoint and this is one book that I will highly recommend as a MUST READ!!!

Title: Watch Me
Author: Ada Frost

This is my world, my kingdom. I sit on the throne and control the empire I created.

My skill? Providing illicit pleasure to thousands. If there is a fantasy to fulfil, my company will provide it.

I am the Porn Prince.

The cold hearted producer at Stone Industries who creates the hottest porn in the business.

But every ruler has an Achilles heel, and mine is chaos.

Abigail Warner is chaos.

From the moment she entered my office my world was turned upside down. She is my passion, my fantasy and everything I never wanted in life. The chaotic infuriating mess of a woman is everything I hate and avoid.

So why can’t I stop watching her.

Why do I crave her?

One taste and I know she will destroy me.

This is a story of unlocking hidden desires and succumbing to pleasure.

WHAT. DID. I. JUST. READ?!!!!! ADA????? ADA?!!! OMFG ADA!!!! First off, can I just say hott damn THAT COVER! I think I spent a hot minute just drooling over the cover before I even started reading the book. Hot dayuuuuum! Any hoot. I'm a little speechless. I'm hands down an Ada Frost fan because her Surviving Series was phenomenal and one of the best gut wrenching and emotional reads I've read to date. So of course I had to one click this bad boy and see what emotional turmoil Ada was going to put me through. Sooo not what I was expecting yet I LOVED EVERYTHING about this book. So fucking goood!!

Literally 1% in, so basically page 1 you're already laughing out loud thinking "oh yea, this is going to be a great one". It was more than that. Hot damn Ada!!! I loved it. The story, the characters, the chemistry, the passion....just everything was on point. I love that although Abby had all this other shit going on in her life it didn't take away from her personality shining through. She was funny, quick witted, a little vixen and definitely one lucky lady. And Lawson. Sexy, naughty, Lawson.... I loved him. I even love drunk Lawson, lol. I'm hoping for some more Sam too. He definitely is a sexy thing too.

This book was definitely different from what I'm used to reading from this author. But she does not disappoint. Great story line, great characters, great delivery, great flow of the story....It's fun, funny, incredibly sexy and absolutely a must read.

Hi! What to say about myself...I love to read, and create stories for others to enjoy. I've always been told I have a vivid imagination, I just lacked the confidence to pursue putting it onto the written page. But finally I embarked on making a single dream come true.

I love to read, and write. I only read romance, any genre really, but it has to have a beautiful romance. I also demand a HEA, even if it takes two or three books to get there. Reality is too broken and jaded without having to live through the trauma and angst in a book for it to end unhappily.

I would love to connect with readers to hear their views on my work. So come chat to me:
