Detective Elijah Markham has decided to trade big city danger for sleepy town charm. Guarding his turbulent heart could be his biggest challenge if he falls captive to her irresistible charms.

Maegan Miracle seemingly has the perfect life. She has a successful career, amazing friends, and a family that adores her, but it’s not enough to erase the loneliness she hides behind a brilliant smile. Maegan’s world is turned upside down when she becomes a potential target in a twisted killer’s cat and mouse games. The only man who can save her is the same one that threatens her peaceful existence.

Passion and lust override doubt and suspicion, igniting a flame that’s hot enough to consume them and torch the town. Something that burns so hot and fast won’t last…or will it? If they want a chance to find out, they’ll need to stop a killer before it’s too late.

The Lady is a Thief is the first book in The Lady is Mine Trilogy. It’s a scorching-hot story filled with humor, mystery, and lovable characters that will make you want to pack your bags and move to Blissville.

REVIEW

4.5 Stars

Not a surprise that I am a fan of this author. It started off a little shaky for me with the first book I read from this author with her writing of the whole mystery aspects of her stories but book after book I've become more and more addicted to her words and characters. So, I was super excited to see that she stepped outside of her norm and wrote an M/F book. And HOTT DAMN did she nail this with amazing chemistry and passion between the MC's.

Elijah and Maegan were scorching hot and I think that they really complemented each other perfectly. I loved Maegan's character because although she had her hangups she was still fiesty and independent. Elijah was absolutely yummy! I'm a sucker for the alpha protective guys and he falls right in that category without being too overbearing.

The story itself was well written and kept me entertained throughout. I love the secondary characters especially Maegan's brother, Milo. I really hope we get  his story soon. We also get to see some characters from previous books because this is set in Blissville but totally reads as a standalone and no need to read the other books before this one. Although, I do recommend them because they are great reads as well.

Aimee Nicole Walker did a great job on this and even the mystery part had me captivated and I totally dug how it played out. I definitely cannot wait for the next book because I'm already craving more Elijah and Maegan.
