My Review

Holy fucking shit! Well hott damn! This book was so fucking good!!! If you like bikers, then this right here is a story you most definitely want to read.
What a hell of a ride!

Chase and Roxy grew up together. They've been harboring feelings for each other for years. But being in an MC, there are rules. Rules that state MC's can't mix. And it just so happens that Chase is part of another MC.

“You and that boy are to stay away from each other, do you hear me? If he’s with Jeremy, you walk away. I don’t ever want to have this discussion with you again. He’s no good for you and this club. Do you understand me?”

With the President of the Condemned Angels on their back, reminding them of what could never be, Chase does what he knows must be done.....breaks Roxy's heart and promises her father that he will stay away.

“In order for me to keep my club and myself safe, but most importantly Rox safe, I have to let her go.”

Roxy is heartbroken but knows that she must stay away. She takes off to college and hopes that the distance will help. Four years later, Roxy is back from college, working at her brother, Jeremy’s club and in a relationship. But things have changed and seeing Chase again brings the strong feelings to the surface that she just can’t seem to get over. After seeing Chase for the first time in four years, she knew that it was going to be really hard to ignore her feelings.

“God, those lips-if I could just. No, Roxy. He left you high and dry in a hallway, never to be heard from again. Don’t you dare fall for him…again.”

Four years. Four years and the minute Chase sees Roxy, he's mesmerized. I love how he tries to mentally convince himself that he has a promise to keep but physically fails every time he's around her.

“He kissed me like it was the air he needed to breath and he had been deprived of oxygen for years.”

I loved this story. It captured me from the beginning. There are some unexpected turns of events that will have you immersed in this book. Shit, the whole story line devours you. The bond of brothers/sisters, the MC, family and friends. The well liked and the not so well liked characters. The chemistry, love, violence and hot fucking sex. See? That. All of that will consume you.

“My eyes fluttered open, I went to move but my arms were tied above my head. They were heavy and numb.”

I was so happy that the female characters are sassy and badass. They were portrayed as strong, independent, confident woman who don't take shit from nobody. And I love that. I think it makes it sexier. It makes the chemistry and the passion so much more raw. Roxy isn't afraid to take what she wants.

“I pulled Chase’s ripped shirt up over his head. Our lips broke apart long enough for the fabric to pass between our faces. I raked my nails down over his broad shoulders, down his muscular pectorals, and down his defined abs, to his belt buckle.”

I was not expecting it to end the way it did. And I was like 'what. the. fuck.' ......... cliffhanger! Ugh! I could not believe how I was left hanging! NO. NOOOOOO! I need more. I need to know. I couldn't wait to fucking read the next one.  The ending did exactly what a good cliffhanger is supposed to end….leave you wanting more!

About the Author

Deciding to write books was something I had contemplated for awhile. A co-worker of mine had gotten me started me on the 50 Shades Trilogy. I had quickly became absorbed! Reading contemporary romance had become apart of me.

Little did I know that my daughter was a product of the "50 Shades Baby Boom"! I remember going to my doctor's appointment to find out that we were off to labor and delivery- and I didn't download any new books to my kindle! Talk about bummed out! However, I made up for that when I was home for my maternity leave. I believe we read 40+ books while I was home.

I am a full time new mom, and wife. Yes, I do work full time, I am currently doing multiple things, bouncing back after baby, weight watchers, exercising, training for a 5k, reading and writing. So far, I have really enjoyed writing as a hobby.

My work book club, "HE" had consumed us (and by us, I mean 2). We were critics of the stories and characters. I then thought to myself, "hmm, I bet I could write stories just like this, and have them turn out like I'd want them to." Well, joking turned into thinking. Thinking turned into brainstorming. Brainstorming lead to opening a word document and letting my mind explore.

Growing up I had written short stories with friends, and as extra credit for school. This is probably where it all started... I had turned in one of my short stories without re-reading, or editing it completely. I had my paper returned to me saying the "content was inappropriate." Apparently contemporary romance was frowned upon in English class! Oops! So maybe I was destined to become a writer.

I thought to myself that I want to live in this world and make a difference and have a part of me in history after I leave. This is me staying forever young.
