My thumb brushes over the reflecting image of a girl with hair so white it could blind a man like me. Licking my lips, I stare at her delicate shape in the white dress, her soft posture as she leans into the green lushes around her, and the way she wistfully stares at the blue sphere above her head. One moment is all it takes to capture her beauty. And I know I’ll have a lifetime to discover it.

I smile, cocking my head. “Her.”

That’s all it takes. That one word … and she becomes mine.

I can’t stop staring at her eyes … those soul-crushing blue eyes that seem so pure. So vulnerable. Unlike me.

But when the image is snatched out of my hands, my smile immediately dissipates. I turn my head and watch him take the pictures down from the glass, one by one, until nothing’s left but a gray stone mass behind it. No life. No green. No blue. No nothing.

“Control. And how I feel when you exert your strength over me. Domination. Power. Control. All of it turns me the fuck on.”

“Why?”

“There’s something primal and exhilarating about a man who takes complete control in the bedroom. That’s what it’s about for me. I want to feel desire. Real desire. I need a man who will grab me and make me feel small and vulnerable and feminine. Without hurting me.”

She releases my hands and sits upright, still mounted on top of me. “Outside of the bedroom, it’s all a level playing field. I’m an independent woman, and I control everything in my life. But in the bedroom . . . I want to be controlled by a strong man.”

“Why do you have all this if you go to a normal gym?”  I was impressed and had the urge to try out the elliptical later while he was gone.  It’d been too long since I’d worked out and I could use the cardio.

“I like to come in here when I don’t have time to head to the gym.  I can knock out an hour in here before or after work and not have to spend the time driving to and from the gym.  Makes it easy.”

“Race ya there,” I snicker, darting towards the bedroom I moved our clothes into, tossing his bag into the hall.
