COVER DESIGN: JAY AHEER/ Simply Defined Art

Blurb:

As next in line for the Evergreen crown, Prince Merrick Davendall’s future involves ruling, marriage, and producing an heir of his own. But he’s long been tormented by desires that are far from princely. Especially when the beautiful Cassius is promoted to be his new valet, and Merrick is struck by a longing like never before—a longing to know him far beyond royal and servant.

After his father’s passing, Cassius Havendale’s sole duty is to provide for his family. A promotion to serve a pampered prince is something he endures only for their sake. Surely Prince Merrick has no understanding of true suffering of the common people, nor could he possibly understand what it’s like to desperately desire something he cannot have.

Except the prince is not at all what Cassius imagined. Kind, humorous, and caring to those in need, he also shares Cassius’ affinity for the arts. In fact, Merrick understands his deepest vulnerabilities in a most remarkable way.

As their affection deepens, the underlying tension between them becomes unbearable and they’re unable to ignore it any longer. But when the queen prepares a lavish ball with all the eligible ladies in the land in attendance, Merrick must fulfill his obligations to his country, and Cassius has the needs of his family to consider. They’ve long known their stolen moments would have to come to an end, but are they ready to give up one another and the idea of a happily-ever-after?

REVIEW
4.5 Stars

I'm a fan of both authors individually and the previous collabs they've done together so I knew I just had to read this. First of all, the cover is phenomenal and it's the perfect image that set the visual image of magical fairytale for me. And a magical fairytale is exactly what these authors deliver.

The characters are beyond adorable. They were both super sweet and smitten from the moment they set eyes on each other. Prince Merrick and Cassius's journey was romantic, sexy and heartbreaking yet touching and absolutely beautiful. I loved that the authors made the Prince very humble despite his status. He showed compassion and he was very caring and loving. As was Cassiuss, who was also a very admirable man with the genuine love he had for his family and the things both MC's were willing to sacrifice for the sake of their family.

This is definitely a very magical fairytale that let's your mind wander and really escape off to a far away land. Very well written and I would absolutely recommend. Totally loved the magical make believe world with a pinch of modern. A great read from beginning to end.

EXCERPT

“Now you are all set,” Cassius remarked, slipping the national Evergreen sash over Merrick’s neck and adjusting it over his shoulder.
Merrick was entertaining the Duke of Cairn this morning for brunch. The king would be joining them this afternoon for ice fishing on the property. Apparently, the royal family of Cairn were avid fishermen, and when the king mentioned it a few weeks back on his visit, Merrick’s father told them about Evergreen’s abundance of freshwater trout. Merrick did not exactly enjoy the sport, but Cairn was Evergreen’s closest ally, and it was important to entertain them properly while they discussed pressing matters, including Merrick’s royal visit to their lovely countryside in the coming months.
“At breakfast I overheard the cooks going on about how handsome the duke is,” Cassius mentioned casually as he smoothed down Merrick’s coat and then picked at some lint on the lapel.
The change in topic threw Merrick, and when he did not respond, Cassius glanced up curiously at him. Merrick smirked as he wrapped his hands around Cassius’s waist and pulled him closer. “You are jealous.”
“Of course not!” he declared as his neck turned beet red. “I was only relaying the gossip in the castle.”
“Hmmm, that’s very peculiar since you’ve never seemed to be affected by gossip before,” Merrick remarked, backing him against the wardrobe, the innocent look in Cassius’s eyes completely charming.
“What are you doing?” Cassius asked, his gaze flashing toward the closed chamber door.
“I don’t give a flying fig whether the duke is handsome or not. I have never paid him any mind.” Merrick kissed his cheek. “What I do know is that a stunning man is standing before me, driving me completely mad. And I long to take his prick into my mouth.”
Cassius gasped and swayed toward him. Merrick wondered if Cassius felt just as feverish after spending such a sweet and intense moment in the woods the other day. He only dreamed to know more of him before it was too late.
“It is all I thought about last evening after you left me in the parlor room with the conservation committee,” Merrick added with a groan as he gripped the waistband of Cassius’s trousers. “I want you in my bed every night. In my arms. But I know it is an empty wish.”
“We…shouldn’t,” Cassius replied in a gruff voice even as he sank against Merrick, his prick already hard as the steel jousting stick on display in the Great Hall. “You make it quite difficult to properly concentrate on my duties.”
Merrick drew back immediately, searching Cassius’s eyes. “I am sorry. I do not want you to feel any sort of regret.”
“Never.” Cassius grasped Merrick’s hand and placed it against the bulge beneath his zipper. “But now I shall go around all day with the front of my pants uncomfortably tight while you socialize with the handsome duke.”

Merrick hissed and then promptly dropped to his knees before the valet.

BLURB

Quinn Monahan and Grayson Page have been friends since high school. Despite their differences, they’ve been there for each other through thick and thin. Opening Last Call together, a bar tucked away in the small town of Heartsville, PA seemed a natural progression—even if it makes it harder to live with the secret longing they’ve always had for each other.

Hoping to score an easy buck and a place to sleep, unemployed circus roadie Emery Woods chooses Last Call to run a few bets and enjoy a decent beer before moving on. When he finds himself stranded, the unexpected kindness Quinn and Gray show him leads to temporary work and a couch to lay his head. Sensing unresolved history between Quinn and Gray, he squashes his immediate draw to the men, opting to avoid trouble. But as days turn into weeks, denying the attraction is easier said than done.

When the men finally give in to the simmering sexual tension, it quickly develops into more than a way to pass the lonely nights. And as they begin to lean on each other for emotional support, it becomes nearly impossible to think of one man without the other two. But while Quinn and Gray are afraid to cross the line of friendship between them, Emery fears once they do, he’ll quickly be cast aside. A real family is finally within their grasp, but unless the men can learn to trust each other, they just might miss their hearts’ last call home.

REVIEW

3.5 Stars

I love me some good threesome romance and I was super excited to hear about this collab between these two authors. Individually I'm obsessed with their work and Christina Lee and Felice Stevens are amazingly talented writers so I couldn't wait to see what they conjured up when they put their creative minds together.

I loved the characters. Emery, Quinn and Gray had all these great qualities to them and it was an instant liking to them. They each have their sad backgrounds, however I feel like each of their stories were just kind of glossed over. It was hard for me to feel any sort of emotion for them and for what they went through. I didn't get that heartbreaking, I want to cuddle them feeling I usually get when reading a Felice Stevens or a Christina Lee story. Besides the sexual chemistry between the characters and the sexy times, I really felt no emotion from the story. No real connection with the characters. Even in some of the sex scenes I struggled because I felt that even though the three men were there sometimes it just didn't feel like they were all included.

I found it to be on the sweet and soft side. But for an MMM story, I just needed a little bit more UMPH and a lot more emotion. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the story. Who doesn't love reading about three men finally finding a place where they belong, finding hope, peace and love.  It was a good read and I absolutely adore these authors.

EXCERPT

Holy fucking hell. That had been one of the best orgasms of my life.
As the fog in my brain began to clear, Quinn stood up and hesitantly swiped at his mouth as if unsure of himself all over again. The fact that he’d just sucked me off didn’t seem lost on him. But Christ, it had been incredible, like a damned gift.
Something sharp pierced inside my chest, and I did the only thing that came to mind. I gripped his face and fused our mouths together. He whimpered, his fingers clutching at my waist and he sank against me as if in relief.
My tongue flicked out to brush briefly against his before pushing past his lips and finally—finally—tasting all of him. I sucked on his tongue and lips, jaw and throat, as his hands skimmed over my back, his nails digging into my hips, leaving scarcely a sliver of space between us.

“Gray,” he moaned against my lips as I entwined our fingers and pulled them behind his back. Our chests slicked together, our groins pressing, our mouths meeting in deep and bruising kisses. The room faded away, the sound blotted, and all I could focus on was devouring my best friend’s mouth.

Review
5 Stars

I haven’t read a book by this author that has let me down yet. Tristan and West are added to the list of characters that Christina Lee has brought into my life that I have absolutely fallen head over heels for!! I’m so madly, utterly and completely in love with this story and these guys!! Tristan and West have stolen a piece of my heart. Christina Lee proves over and over why she is one of my top five favorite MM authors.

My words will do no justice nor can I praise this author enough on how truly talented she is on bringing such beautiful words to life and giving these phenomenal characters an amazing heartfelt journey that will leave you smiling from ear to ear. This captivating story had me glued to the pages as I read this in one sitting. This was a sad yet sweet journey between Tristan and West as they each struggle to move on from grief. As well as West finding his own way and seeking independence. The fears, the grief, the vulnerability, all the emotions can be felt and that’s one of the many things I love about this author. Her ability to convey her characters emotions through the pages is one of the many reasons why she is an instant go to for me.

This story is a slow burn romance. It’s a sweet torture because you’re rooting for these guys and want them to just end up together already because they are so damn perfect for each other. Tristan’s patience and compassion towards West is so damn endearing and I just wanted to squeeze and kiss him for being fucking perfect!! And West…..GAH! West was just adorable and sad and broken and confused yet so damn strong for wanting to break free and find his own way and seek his own independence. OMG…These two men were just sweet, sexy, hot and PERFECT! Christina Lee did such a phenomenal job on their journey to finding peace, companion and love. I loved the way their friendship just flourished into something so breathtakingly beautiful. Once again, absolute perfection from Christina Lee and I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

“Promise you won’t let me drown?”
“If I did, I’d miss out on whatever meal you promised as payback,” he replied with a smirk. “And believe me, I’m all for that.”
A nervous laugh jumped from my throat, even though the idea of cooking for him—for anybody, really—thrilled me. I pulled the sticky orange life vest over my neck and fastened it, figuring I’d bob around at first and get used to the water.
After I jumped in, I stuck close to Tristan, still nervous that I’d somehow float away from him and feel abandoned in this giant body of water.
“You ready to try without the life vest?” he asked in a tentative voice.
My pulse pitched, but I still nodded. I knew he wouldn’t leave me stranded or let anything happen to me.
“We’ll just practice floating.”
Tugging me closer to the edge of the boat, he helped unsnap the vest. As he fished it over my shoulders, his gaze met mine. “It’s okay. I got you.”
He placed the vest on the platform, where my fingers were digging into the edge for dear life.
Tristan moved behind me, his hands winding around my waist, and I immediately felt goose bumps line my skin. Just like I did when I was lying in bed with him. His lips found my ear, and it made all the hair along my nape stand on end. “Breathe, West. It’s going to be okay.”

BLURB

Ben Emerson has lived by his minister father’s rules most of his life. Born into an ultra-conservative church community, he’s finally brave enough to break free and move to San Francisco. Distancing himself certainly helps create a new mindset, but living as an openly gay man takes some getting used to. When he reaches out to Xavier, a childhood friend who lives in the city, Ben isn’t sure how he’ll respond given their thorny history. Ben hopes the familiar connection will help him right some wrongs as well as provide the solace he’s been craving.

Xavier Ramos is who he is, and he doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks. Whether it’s eyeliner, nail polish, tattoos or his love of hooking up, he uses his body as a form of self-expression but doesn’t let anyone get too close. When Ben reenters his life, Xavier helps him experience the city and feel comfortable in his own skin. Seeing the world through Ben’s eyes, he begins to wonder if he’s also not living as freely as he thought.

When Xavier challenges Ben’s beliefs about sex, it becomes explosive—for both of them. Xavier breaks apart Ben’s sheltered world and shows him what it’s like to live out loud. The more time they spend together, the more Xavier begins to long for Ben in a different way—one that both surprises and scares him. But real life doesn’t fade into the background, so when Ben’s past comes knocking, old habits are hard to break. Testing the foundation of their deepening connection will take a trust that will either bind them…or tear them apart.

REVIEW
5 Stars

I can’t tell you how much I love Ben & Xavier!! This story was heartbreaking yet beautiful and so incredibly sexy. I LOVED everything about this story!! I’ve read these authors both individually and together. I adore their Free Fall Series and these are two very talented authors and I expected nothing less than 5 stars. I was wrong. I was so wrong because this deserves so much more than 5 stars. Why can’t you give more than 5 stars?! These ladies are brilliant and write stories like this one that absolutely blows you away.

Ben and Xavier have shitty childhoods and have some hang-ups and insecurities to work through. But Ben….Oh Ben! Fuck! I’m tearing up just writing this thinking back on the story. It’s so profound. So heartbreaking and utterly sad what Ben had to go through and deny himself for so long. His struggles tore at my heart strings. Fuck! His emotional, physical and mental struggles are so heart wrenching. And you feel it. You feel every bit of it right along with him. I love these authors’ ability to make you feel all these emotions. It’s like you’re suffering through it right along with these characters.

Gosh, and Xavier!! Xavier was the perfect balance for Ben. Xavier was bold and proud; dominant yet caring and tender; and oh sexy and kinky. These two are perfect for each other really. I love these two! This was such a touching and heartwarming story of being your true self and falling in love. It’s breathtaking and captivating. It’s sexy and alluring. Ben and Xavier have stolen a piece of my heart.

Christina Lee and Nyrae Dawn write pure magic. I was completely mesmerized from beginning to end. I could not put this down and read it in one sitting. I just could not part with these boys until I got through to the end. Ben and Xavier’s journey was phenomenal. This story was emotional but also fun and oh so very sexy. I LOVED EVERYTHING about this book and I HIGHLY recommend it.

“Get your ass down here.” He frowns and I pat the floor beside me. “I’m serious, B. Get your ass down here. You can take it off when I’m done if you don’t like it. How do you know if something’s your style if you’ve never done it?”
I blow on my fingernails trying to get them to dry. Ben doesn’t move right away, but then he slides down to the floor beside me.
My pulse kicks up a notch. I don’t know why I want this so much for him.
He puts his hand on the table and I paint the first nail.
“I feel stupid,” he tells me.
“Do you think I look stupid with it?”
“Hell no. You look hot but—”
“But nothing. Be quiet and let me work.”
He chuckles. “You’re bossy.”
“You ain’t seen nothing yet,” I reply before getting back to work on his nails. His fingers are long, thicker than mine. His hands are beat up from his work, rough and abused with little scratches on them. “I can’t wait till you can touch me. I love rough hands.”
“Oh shit,” he says with a thickness to his voice that tells me he’s getting turned on again.
I finish the first hand before saying, “Now, the other.” He sets that hand on the table, but I grab it, suck one of his fingers into my mouth, even though I hadn’t planned to touch him again tonight.
“Fuck, Xavier,” he says and his eyes roll back in a way that really gets me hard.
“Good?”
“Yes.”
“You’re trembling,” I tell him as his hand gently shakes.
“That’s because I’m really turned on right now.”

BLURB

When Brian “Brin” Schubert’s condo floods, he takes his co-worker up on the offer to stay on his crappy futon for a while. The last thing he expects is for his friend’s roommate to be the one guy he despises the most. The same guy who stomped on his heart senior year of high school. And by the looks of the girl on his arm, the same man who’s still deep inside the closet.

Nicholas Dell never predicted that eleven years later, one of his greatest regrets would show up on his doorstep down on his luck. Nick has made some terrible mistakes—story of his life—and he’s been paying for them ever since. And if the guilt and shame aren’t enough, his first crush had to turn into one of the sexiest men he’s ever laid eyes on.

Nick and Brin have weeks to steer clear of each other. Weeks to avoid strangling each other. But when stubbornness leads to skyrocketing sexual tension, hate-sex doesn’t seem like such an awful way to work through their frustration. Except hate is a powerful emotion, especially when it’s turned inward. And in Nick’s case he’s been drowning in a sea of self-loathing for so long, he can’t see his way out.

As Brin reconnects with Nick, his perception of what really happened in their past begins to change. He’s finally ready to forgive him and take a second chance on the one guy who stirs him like no other. But Nick’s demons are complicated, heart-wrenching…demanding. So devastating, he might never allow himself true happiness—even with the one man who’s always owned his heart.

Gosh, where do I even begin?! Fuck. Nick and Brin's story had me warring with my emotions. One minute I'm all like "Come on Brin, give the guy a break" then the next I'm all "Brin, walk the fuck away. Just walk away dude" and then I'm all "BRIN!!! Get that shit!! You go boy, get yours!" "Nick, Oh Nick it's ok. Everything is going to be ok". Yes, I have full fledged conversations with characters in my head while being utterly consumed by them. It's all good!

Good Gosh Christina!! I want to squeeze you sooo tight right now because this book was absolute perfection!!! All the words. All the feels. The emotion, sexual tension and chemistry just spilled out from page to page. Jeez, even in the sex scenes. They're so fucking hot but the emotions! God, the emotions. You can just feel the passion, the intensity, the raw need. I tell ya, this lady pours magic on these pages.

And the anticipation and the suspense of Nick's story had me on pins and needles. I couldn't read fast enough because I needed to know. I needed to know what had this genuinely good guy drowning in so much sorrow. I wanted to comfort him and just hold him. Nick's pain, guilt and turmoil broke my heart.  But piece by piece sweet sweet Brin helped mend my heart because he was just so loveable. The compassion he showed Nick while struggling with his own emotions just had me loving him more and more.

These characters really tug at your heart strings and Christina delivers yet again another phenomenal heart gripping love story. This is an absolute must read and I know for sure this is one I will end up re-reading a thousand times.

EXCERPT

“Brin, let me introduce you to my roommate,” Elijah said as I followed him through the short hallway to the living room. “This is Nick and his friend, Sarah.”
Sarah’s curly locks were nearly as blond as mine and Nick’s black hair was mostly tucked beneath a worn blue baseball cap. The two of them were cozy on the couch, Sarah sitting with her legs tucked under her and Nick with his ankle crossed over his knee. They were eating Chinese food off paper plates resting in their laps. Sarah simply waved as her mouth was full from a bite of food but Nick responded, “Hey, how you doing?” after swallowing a piece of what looked like an egg roll.
The smell of fried rice hit my nostrils and when my stomach rumbled in response, I realized just how famished I was. I was dying to dive right into the second brown bag resting on the coffee table that more than likely contained my food, but I didn’t want to be rude.
When Nick leaned forward with an outstretched hand, for some reason I zeroed right in on the neatly groomed scruff on his chin. When he tilted his face to look directly into my eyes, I froze, our fingers interlocked. A startled gasp sprang from my lips, and Nick’s eyebrows slammed together in confusion right before they lifted straight to his hairline.
The same cherry-colored lips, with a center dimple drilled into his chin. Those sad, amber-colored eyes that shuttered out the world.
Holy fuck. Elijah’s roommate was Nicholas Dell.
The same Nicholas Dell from Jefferson High who practically ruined me for other guys.
The same Devil’s third baseman that begged his math tutor to suck his cock in the locker room after practice.
And given the female nestled up beside him, it was the same Nicholas Dell who was still deep in the closet.
