BLURB

Oz: Escaping the international modeling scene to design my own fashion collection is the first step to shucking my bobble-headed supermodel reputation and proving to the world I’m more than just a pretty face. But the minute I have to accept roadside help from the sexy man next door, I feel like the airhead people think I am. And what’s worse, the man clearly doesn’t think I’m worth the time of day.

But despite trying to ignore my attraction to the mysterious doctor, I can’t help but be drawn to him. With every moment spent together, I begin to realize he’s hiding more than just some details of his past. He has one foot out the door.

As soon as I start to feel like everything might be coming together for me, I realize the man I’m falling in love with isn’t who I thought he was.

Jake: After three years on the run for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, I’ve finally found a seemingly safe place to settle in Haven, Colorado. With friends, a job, and a cabin in the woods, I have everything I need to live a simple life without drawing attention to myself. Everything’s fine. Fine.

Until I meet my new neighbor. The gorgeous man is anything but subtle and brings color to my life that I didn’t know was missing. But I learned years ago that falling in love with someone wasn’t an option anymore when simply being seen with me could have dire consequences. It’s time for me to run again, but I wonder if it’s safe to stick around just long enough for a taste…

Just when I begin to realize Oz is the missing piece to bring me back to life after years of hiding, my past catches up to me and throws everyone around me into danger. I know I should run, but what if it’s time to finally stop running and make a stand, once and for all?

REVIEW
5 Stars

Honestly, I don't think it's any surprise that these ladies have delivered another fantastic read. In fact, I think this may be my favorite from this series so far. Shocking to say because I'm normally a sucker for the emotional, angsty, make-me-ugly-cry stories but I loved that this book took a different direction and brought so much more humor, sweetness and action to the table.

OMG! I loved these characters. Jake and Oz had me laughing hysterical because Oz is just so damn adorable and I loved his sass. These two could not be any more opposite yet so damn perfect for each other. Jake was this huge mystery in the other books that I just couldn't wait to unravel. Totally not what I was expecting but completely LOVED it!!

Not every book has to be the same in a series and I am sooo damn glad these authors went on this different path with this book. I loved everything about it. Jake and Oz's journey was sweet and sexy with great chemistry and LOL moments. Another amazing read from Lucy Lennox & Sloane Kennedy. I am so looking forward to reading so much more from these two. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the next book.

Sloane Kennedy:

Although Sloane Kennedy always dreamed of being a writer as a teenager, she didn't take the plunge until March of 2015 when she released her first novel as an independent author. Since then, she has released more than a dozen books including the Amazon best-selling "Barretti Security" series, "Finding" series and "Protectors" series. While she initially began writing M/F romance, she found her true passion writing gay romance and all four of her most recent releases reached the #1 spot on Amazon's Gay Romance bestseller list and Freeing Zane, her final book in the Barretti Security series, made it to Amazon's overall bestseller list. Sloane was born in Germany and grew up in Virginia and Wisconsin. Although she currently lives in Wisconsin, the place where she has always felt most at home is Seattle and many of her books take place in the Emerald city. Although she is unmarried, a menagerie of 2 dogs and 3 cats keeps her busy enough and 3 young nieces take care of the rest of her free time. Sloane loves being able to share her passion for romance with readers and she is truly humbled by all the support she's received from fans and fellow authors alike.

Book Review - LOVE IN CARSON FALLS by Paisleigh Aumack

Title: Love in Carson Falls
Series: The Falls Series Book 1
Author: Paisleigh Aumack
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: June 28, 2017

~ Blurb ~

Arianna Morgan:
She never thought life would beat her down. She never imagined the man she loved doing it either. Starting over in a small town was her only option. Once she arrived in Carson Falls, she realized her life never really began until the locals, one specifically, proved that there were things that can mend your spirit.

River Bradshaw:
He never thought the mother of his child would walk away. He also never thought she would end up dead. Living in a small town his whole life, he knew what his life’s meaning was, or so he thought. Once a stranger from out of town started teaching his daughter piano, she proved that life had much more in store for him.

This is a story about loss, love, and how music can teach us about ourselves.

4.5 Stars

This is a new-to-me author and I must say that I am loving what I've read so far. This book really touched my heart. I think this author did a really great job at capturing the emotions and feelings associated with being and coming out of an abusive relationship. The emotions felt genuine and relatable.

Arianna definitely didn't have it easy and although everything she has suffered and endured she has this strength to her and she is caring, loving and a genuinely nice person. I loved her character and her growth throughout the story. Yes, she still had her moments because it will take time to heal from all she has been through but the author does a great job showing all those different sides to Ari.

And who doesn't love them an alpha man? I know I do. And River Bradshaw is exactly that and I couldn't imagine him any other way. I think his character was absolutely perfect and fitting. Oh and we can't forget that he's the single dad that will not only melt your heart but your panties as well. Yes, River Bradshaw is swoon-fucking-worthy and panty-dropping sexy AF!!!!

This was just an all around amazing story. Paisleigh Aumack delivers a magnificent story line that held me captivated from beginning to end. An amazing set of characters from the main characters to the secondary. I absolutely fell in love with River's little girl, Cady. What a character that little girl. The other characters definitely got me intrigued. The chemistry and passion between the characters were on point. This was such a beautifully written story and I can't wait to read more from this author and this series.
