This was probably one of the hardest and most emotional reads that I have read this year. Evie Harper has managed to slip right to the top of my favorite reads for 2014 thus far. She did an outstanding job of bringing such raw emotion into this story.
Lily and her sister, Sasha, finally take time from there busy life on the farm in Australia to travel and see the world. There first stop is in New York City. After spending an amazing two weeks enjoying the city they decide it's time to move on to their next journey. But things take a turn for the worse.
You find love in the most unexpected places. And that happens to Jake. He has a goal and he is set on accomplishing this goal. Nothing will stop him. He will achieve what he has been working at for some time now. He wasn't expecting a distraction so beautifully stunning that it takes his breath away and test his control.
It was by far the most intense, captivating and emotionally draining story I have read that left me sobbing almost throughout the entire book. It was so different from any other romance book out there. Absolutely BRILLIANT!!!!
From reading this book you would not think that this is a debut novel. This was such a dark emotional read and I fucking LOVED every minute of it. I devoured this book in one day. I could not put it down. I was drawn to the main characters and felt every fucking emotion they were going through.
A story of strength, loss, love and survival. Highly fucking recommended!!!
