Synopsis

I just want my Grace back. 

I want the girl I found sending me dirty tweets on Saint Thomas. I want the girl who reluctantly gave in to my charms and let me boss her around. I want the girl who sent me to my knees and made me imagine what her fairy tale would look like with me in it.

I just want to move on.

I want to plan the future and think about kids and preschools and college funds. I want everything she ever wanted, and I want us to make it happen together. 

But the media needs more from us. More dirt. More pain. More payment for past transgressions.

You can’t change the past. And even though Grace is ready to put her demons to bed, mine are just starting to get restless. Because when you’ve silenced as many enemies as I have over the years, you know that secret won’t stay buried forever.

Review

I didn't think it was possible to love Vaughn more than I already do. I was wrong. So….. very, very, very fucking wrong. *sigh* I want a real life Vaughn Asher! I'm so in love with this man. This whole series has been an epic read. I'm sad this is the end. I don't want it to be over. I want more Vaughn and Grace. No, I need more Vaughn and Grace. I want little Vaughn Asher babies running around.

JA Huss is a writing genius. She has completely and utterly consumed me with this series. I felt like a crazy person watching the minutes click away on the clock waiting for this book to appear on my kindle. I kept re-syncing like every minute hoping it will pop up. The minute it did I was so ecstatic I jumped right in. Her creativity is astounding and her ability to draw out real emotions is an added bonus.

I laughed, cried and got all tingly and shit with this story. Vaughn is absolutely sexy as sin. I love these characters. I loved this book. I absolutely love this series. I highly recommend it.

My heart is pounding. A have this huge lump in my throat. It's hard to swallow. My vision is blurry from crying so hard. What a motherfuckin ride!! My emotions have fucking whiplash. I don't think there is anything to say or how anyone cannot see how much of a motherfucking genius JA Huss is. Fucking brilliant.

The anticipation, the fear, the mystery and the fucking suspense will have and keep you trapped. Trapped in the world that is Vaughn and Grace. The minute this hit my kindle at midnight, I fucking dove right in. The ending of Book four had me pulling at my fucking hair and I almost wanted to cry because I had to wait two weeks to find out what happened. Well...it was so worth the wait. So fucking worth the wait.

Bravo Ms. Huss! Bravo!!! I was already a fan from book one but now I'm a motherfuckin fan forever!! I love everything about this serial. The story line is absolute perfection. The story flows so effortlessly. The characters are so amazingly written and developed as the story unfolds.

 Grace is strong, and fierce and determined to not become a victim. Her courage and bravery had me crying and rooting for her. Vaughn is in love and will not let anyone or anything get in his way when it comes to Grace. He loves her deeply and my heart melts more and more for him. I love him hard!!

This is a definite must read and I can't wait to read the next installment, which will be the last. It's bittersweet. I'm not sure I'm ready to end this journey with Vaughn and Grace. But I know one thing for damn sure...my journey with JA Huss does not end with this serial.

Excerpt

The shouting starts as I exit, but I just flip my sunglasses down and push right through them. I’ve been doing this for twenty-seven years. Some encounters have been more stressful than others, but I’m not the kind of movie star who punches out photographers. They are making a living. Yeah, they are parasites who make a living off me, but fuck it. I really have no beef with them. In fact, most of them are nice when they’re not stalking you.

But then I see that bitch from Buzz Hollywood. She steps right in front of me and sticks that microphone in my face. “What will Jasinda think when she finds out you’re cheating on her?”

I actually stop to laugh. Ray grabs my forearm and tugs, trying to get me moving again. But I shrug him off. “I hope,” I tell the reporter as I look her in the eye, “she feels ashamed of herself. Jasinda”—I am facing the camera now, so I address her directly—“you’re a lying bitch. If you’re even pregnant, I’m up for a DNA test any time you are. I have a wife now and her name is Grace Kinsella-Asher.” And then I turn back to look at all of them as they hover close behind me. “And now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to get her a coffee and a muffin. Blueberry,” I add. “Grace likes blueberry. And she likes iced tall sugar-free caramel, nonfat, light ice, Starbucks double shot on ice. At least”—I stop to have a chuckle—“when she has money on her Starbucks app, she does.”

“Does she have money on her app, Vaughn?” a reporter from an internet blog asks me.

He’s nice, and funny. And never too serious about what he prints. “Her coffee worries are over, yes.”

Now they chuckle with me and I turn away and start walking down the street to the Starbucks. Half of them follow, but they stay behind me. Like a little train of leeches—annoying, but harmless.

See, this is how you handle the media. You don’t have to give them what they want, you just have to give them something they can use. Now they have two factoids about Grace to run with. Tomorrow everyone will be drinking that coffee concoction and the blueberry muffins will be sold out.

The day after tomorrow, they will be after the personal details of someone else and no one will give a shit about us until the next movie comes out, or I get nominated for an award, or Grace gets pregnant.

God. that makes me smile like an idiot and when I look over at Ray, he’s shaking his head. “What?” I ask him.

He holds up a hand. “Nothing.”

We turn right at 16th Street and head down towards the Starbucks.

“But,” he continues, “you have a stupid grin on your face. And if I didn’t know better, I’d say you are in love.”

“I am in love.” I let out a breath. “I love this girl. I’m gonna marry her again and get her pregnant, and spend the rest of my life bossing her ass around and pissing her off.” I glance back at Ray. “She likes it. But she also likes to fight it.”

“Mmm-hmm. If you say so, boss.”

Finally... Grace sees me in a different light. The banter is flirty, the sex is fun, and the future looks fabulous.I just hope she feels the same way when she finds out what I did.

I don’t even know how to express how great this book was. J.A. Huss is a fucking genius!! My heart was soaring, pounding, and in utter turmoil.

The anticipation and suspense build up in this serial is fucking phenomenal. Grace and Vaughn will blow your mind every single time. We get a totally different Vaughn Asher in this part. And if you already weren’t in love with him, you sure will be after this one.

This book is filled with a whirlwind of information. Secrets will be revealed, information will be unfolded, more surprises will be given, suspicions and mystery will give you heart palpitations and things get even sexier and steamy.

Did I mention there’s a cliffhanger? And what a fucking cliffhanger it is!!! It literally left me with my mouth hanging open, my heart pounding in my ears and tears streaming down my face. This is probably the most epic cliffhanger of all cliffhangers!!! I’ve already pre-order the next part and I’m already freaking the fuck out because it’s still several days away. J.A. Huss continues to blow my mind!!
