When we’d gotten back to the hotel, I’d stomped up to my room like a spoiled child. This is where I’d been for the last two hours. Alone and trying to figure a way out of this mess.

A knock at the connecting door between my room and Dillinger’s startled me out of my pity-party for one. Sighing, I headed to the door, pulling it open. What I saw was a bit of a surprise.

“You missed dinner.”Dillinger breezed past me and into my room, setting the dinner tray he was holding on my table.

I watched in awe as he started pulling lids off the plates. There was no way in hell I deserved this kind of treatment. He’d even brought me dessert.

“I didn’t know what you’d like, so I grabbed a bit of everything.”Dillinger’s intense green stare was boring into me.

To be honest, I wasn’t quite sure how to react. No one had ever done anything like this for me, not even Memphis when I was sick and miserable.

“You could have at least said thank you.”Dillinger strode back toward the doors connecting our rooms.

Shit…“No, wait.”I took off after him, grabbing his left elbow with more force than I intended. I yanked so hard that Dillinger crashed against my chest. My left arm reached out to steady him, pulling him closer to me in the process. He was warm and solid. It could have been my raging hormones, but holding him felt good, like I was home.

I knew my wistful thoughts were on the money when my body responded to his instantly. My cock was hardening and unless I missed my guess, so was Dillinger’s. This was wrong on so many levels. There was so much I needed to say to the man I was holding in my arms, but the only thought running through my head, on a loop, was. “Kiss him!”

Excerpt

The ringing doorbell ended my marathon. Pissed that the goddess Jane Fonda would have to wait until I dispatched my uninvited guest, I shoved off the covers and shuffled slowly to the front door as the bell dinged twice more. I hadn’t called for take-out, so I knew whoever was on the other side of the door was trouble. What I didn’t know was what brand of trouble was waiting for me.

Throwing the door open, I saw a clean-shaven, yet angry version of myself. Memphis was the last person I wanted to see today. Well, he and my mother were tied for that distinction. They were both the last people I wanted to see today. I may have lucked out with Memphis. It was so much easier to deal with anger over tears. “Memphis, what can I do for you?”

“You mean aside from providing proof of life?”My brother pushed past me with a sigh. “Jesus Christ, Cairo! What the hell is going on here?”Obviously, Memphis had found my leaning tower of pizza boxes in the living room. At last count there were thirteen boxes in the stack. Lucky number thirteen. Whoops…

“You got your proof of life. Here I am.”I threw my arms wide to emphasize the point.
“You call this life?”Memphis echoed my movement. “Empty pizza boxes and greasy fast food sacks? Your phone shoved in between cushions of the couch?”He held the phone up like he’d just discovered a lost treasure. Which it was, but not the kind that would land in the Vanderbilt Wing.

That must mean the hot wings made it into the fridge. Joy! “I’m sorry you disapprove. You’re not exactly turning the world on with your smile.”A cheap shot, but I wasn’t the one who invited him here. He showed up on his own.

NEW RELEASE + REVIEW + GIVEAWAY: THE COINCIDENCE by Felice Stevens

Title: The Coincidence
Author: Felice Stevens
Genre: MM Romance
Release Date: March 21st

Nice guys always finish last, and Coby Epstein is sick and tired of being last. After his boyfriend dumps him, Coby vows to take it slow and not jump into another relationship, no matter what his ninety-five-year-old great aunt says. When Coby sees his ex has moved on, he goes on a series of disastrous first dates and swears off men, determined to be alone. His best friend disagrees and finds the "perfect man" for him online and arranges a date. The only problem? Coby has no idea what she’s done.

Since childhood, Eli Kaplan has been his father’s greatest disappointment, a fact he’s reminded of at every opportunity. For years, he’s struggled with the knowledge that dating women doesn’t work for him. A late-night confession to his brother changes everything and Eli realizes, maybe, just maybe, he can come out, find himself, and find love. Eli takes the plunge and creates a profile on a dating website, not knowing what to expect. One night he chats with an intriguing man, and despite his nervousness, they arrange to meet for coffee. No big deal. They'll probably never see each other again.

On the day of their first date, nothing could surprise Coby and Eli more than to discover that they live in the same apartment building, on the same floor. In a city of eight million people, coincidences don't get crazier than that. But as the two men begin to weave their lives together with cautious optimism and hope for a future, they find an even greater thread holding their families together—one born from the ashes of a final solution that couldn’t destroy their ancestors’ courage, leaving scars that remain almost a century later. Past lives torn apart can be pieced together by a future no one could have ever imagined, where love is more than fate or coincidence. It’s meant to be.

5 Stars!!!

What a lovely, super cute read.

Felice Stevens is one of my top five MM authors. Her characters and stories are always relatable to real life situations and depicts real life struggles in the LGBTQ community. Yes, some people love to read to escape reality and while I myself love that as well, there is just something in the way that this author delivers her stories that just touches your soul.

Eli and Coby's journey will do exactly that. You can feel the raw emotions and utter sadness from Eli as he struggles with who he is and stepping out of his comfort zone to finally live a happy life. And Coby who so wants to find true love but struggles with his worthiness of it.

I can't even begin to describe how effortlessly beautiful this was written. Where I'm normally all about the sex, lol, I'm so glad Felice Stevens stuck to such an easy flowing pace between these two men. Their story, their bond, and their love couldn't be rushed. Fate and destiny were behind these guys and the author did a phenomenal job delivering their journey to a happily ever after.

It was bittersweet to finish because I just wanted more of Eli and Coby. I feel like their journey was just beginning and I wanted so much more for them.

BLURB

Married life is everything Bull and Red could have hoped for. It’s not something they’d ever take for granted and the need to pay it forward is a trait the husbands happily share. When the new director of the Bennett House asks Red to teach an art class, he isn’t entirely sure how it will help, but he’s more than willing to try. Before Bull, he used his art to purge his demons and sharing that with those in need of an outlet for their own pain was a gift he never considered giving. Each week he is rocked by the artful outpouring of emotion and the gratitude of his students. One by one, they burrow into his heart…but none more so than Dillon Young.

Always holding himself apart from the others, the wisp of a boy keeps his head down and hides behind a mangy, overgrown length of dark hair like a shield. Despite his best attempts not to see himself in all the young men that come through the center, everything about Dillon calls out to Red. Needing to share their encounters, and maybe hoping for a little perspective, he turns to the one man he knows he can always count on. Expecting Bull to be the voice of reason had been a fool’s mission from the start and soon they’re both invested in helping Dillon.

There’s no doubt they have an abundance of love to share and if ever there was someone who needed it, Dillon was the one. Between Bull’s strength and Red’s patience, they’ll help Dillon learn to trust again, and in the process, create a family that none of them intended. Though they never envisioned themselves as parents, Bull and Red will find room in their happily ever after to save the child they didn’t know lived in their hearts.

Review
4 Stars

Ok so confession: I haven’t read this series or any other books from this author. With that being said, even though I don’t have the back story on Red and Bull I simply couldn’t love them more. I absolutely adored these characters and I most definitely now need to go back to the beginning and read this series from the start.

I love how this author gave Dillon a voice and we got to get inside this sixteen year old’s head and know his thoughts and emotions. Jessie G did a great job expressing and portraying the vulnerability and fears from not just Dillon but Red and Bull as well. This was sad and heartbreaking yet beautiful and touching.

This is a great story line and a bunch of great characters. I love the family dynamic and support system they all show for each other. Definitely a series I have to go back and invest some time into and a new-to-me author to keep on my radar.

Our Reason by Jessie G - Teaser #2

EXCERPT

They stopped at a light and Bull glanced at him thoughtfully. “Did Dillon show up for Thursday’s art class?”

There was no denying that the troubled teen was at least partly responsible for his need to give more or that Bull knew his interest far exceeded his role in the boy’s life. “Yeah. He was a few minutes late and he looked rough, but he was there. Even stayed for the food the center brought in afterward.”

Rail thin and tall for his age, Dillon Young slumped like life had already beaten him into submission. He always kept his head down and his dark hair long enough to cover his eyes, but Red had glimpsed at them once and the familiarity had grabbed him by the throat. The feeling was so strong that he reached for Dillon, needing to just hug him as tight as he could, but the boy flinched back and took off.

Dillon disappeared for a few days after that and Red had been beside himself until director called to say he’d come around again. After that, Red kept his approach cautious. He wouldn’t avoid him because he needed to know how to help him, but he never got too close and made sure there was no physical contact even in passing. Months later, he thought they were making headway, but then Dillon disappeared again and Red didn’t know why. Like before, he returned with little fanfare and zero desire to explain his absence. With his own past acting as a reminder of all the possible shit Dillon could be dealing with, it was a cycle that Red wasn’t sure he could continue to live with.

“I know the center has rules it has to follow, but there’s no reason we can’t find out more information about his home life, is there?” They had been trying not to go around the center because he didn’t want to cause them any issues, but the fear of something happening to Dillon was forcing his hand. Red wasn’t scared and destitute anymore. He was a grown man with resources and friends who could help this kid. They had to help because the alternative was unacceptable.

“None at all,” Bull agreed as he reached for his hand. “I’ll talk to Ric. If it’s a conflict of interest for him, I’m sure he can point me in the direction of someone who can help.”

AUTHOR BIO

Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I'd begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: to be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it's a job. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With three series in the works and a full schedule of releases planned for the next two years, it's been amazing to have made this dream my reality.

I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics, and happily ever after. I'm a lover of strong secondary characters, and series filled with families—biological or chosen. All are themes you'll find throughout my books.

REVIEW
3 Stars

For a debut novel I give the author credit for coming out with such a strong message. The blurb sounded interesting so I had such high hopes for this. Unfortunately, I struggled to get through it.

This story had great potential and I can see where the author was trying to go with it. For me, it just fell a little flat. There was no emotion. Alex went through so much emotionally and was still suffering and grieving but I didn't feel any of that. None of those emotions screamed at me. It didn't jump off the pages and grip my heart. I wanted to cry. I wanted to grieve with Alex. I wanted to feel his loneliness, his struggles but the emotions wasn't there.

Some parts dragged on with maybe too much information as well that I didn't really care for about their work and projects where I felt it should have focused more on them building their relationship. I would've like to hear more about that. Then there were some parts where it was repetitive. Overall, the concept of the story was great.

I love Kelley and his approach on Alex. This had great secondary characters as well. Again, it just didn't grasp my attention but may be enjoyable to others. It's a debut novel so I'm sure I'll pick up another book from this author to test the waters again in the future. Great start with so much potential and I wish this author nothing but an abundance of success.

EXCERPT

Pushing him back on the couch Kelley straddled Alex’s body, using his weight to hold the squirmy man in place, Kelley put his hands on Alex’s abs, fingers at his sides as his possessed Alex’s.

Shoving Alex’s shirt up as Alex lifted to give enough room for Kelley to pull the shirt off, dropping it to the floor. Attacking his nipples with teeth and tongue making Alex whimper and moan. Fuck! Hearing those sounds just turned him inside out. Turning the heat between up to lava level.

Moving back up to his neck Kelley sucked, tasted as he reached down with one hand greedily rubbing Alex’s dick through his pants. Running his hand up and down giving him the same of the pressure that Kelley’s throbbing cock was begging for.

“Oh, God.” Alex groaned with a rough edge to his voice as he arched his neck giving Kelley even more room to explore and mark. He wanted his mark on this man. Wanted everyone to see that he was Kelley’s. Fearing that with all the pain locked inside Alex he would never truly be his.

“Your shirt. Take off your shirt. I need to feel your skin.”

Kelley did exactly that.

He flattened Alex to the couch again, pressing their chest together once again, Alex had spread his thighs, Kelley slotted himself right there. Their groins meet and slide together. And holy fucking hell did that feel good. The pressure of Alex’s steel length against his rock hard cock sending relief and pleasure throughout his body.

Alex scratched his nails down his back making him growl. He had his legs bracketing Kelley’s body holding him in place. Like he would be so fucking stupid as to move.

He can feel Alex’s heart jackhammering through his chest. Their breaths panting out between kisses and moans.

What had started out slow had built and built until Kelley wanted to say fuck it and rip Alex’s clothes off to get at every inch of his skin. To have their bodies, slippery from sweat, sliding together.

And just like that Kelley knew exactly what he was going to do. Oh, sweet jesus the thought alone sending lust hurtling to his aching balls, making him want to shoot.

He was going to drive Alex to the brink over and over.

Making him forget anything and everything except the need that would be coursing through his body. The need Kelley would put there. Have Alex begging and pleading Kelley to let him come.

Within minutes they lay back on the couch completely naked, kneeling between Alex’s thighs once again. All of Alex’s gorgeous fucking skin on display. His cock seemingly begging for attention, the crown purple and leaking pre-come onto his stomach. Kelley mouth waters with the thought of sliding it between his lips. But not yet.

Unable to stop himself he slipped his hands, fingers spread wide, to his ankles, over his thighs, across his chest. Gliding with the lightest touch around Alex’s erect nipples, back down his arms. Over and over he did this, needing to get his fill of this beautiful man. No one should have this effect on another person. He sat there with a naked Alex in front of him in awe of every lean muscle that pushed up to meet his hands, every scar his traced.

“Kelley,” Alex bites out as his body trembled under Kelley’s gentle touches.

“Yeah, baby. You need something?”

“Fuck. Don’t be an ass. You know want I want.”

Kelley sank back down on top of him. Licking a path up his collarbone to his throat and then their mouths meet stifling any more words that Alex was going to say. Their cocks align perfectly, and Kelley begins to thrust his cock against Alex’s as their kisses turn desperate and needy.

Kelley pulled away, and before Alex could utter a protest, he moved, swallowing his cock to the back of his throat. Letting his saliva pool in his mouth, needing all the wetness he could get for the slide of their cocks. With every groan that Alex had let out Kelley’s cock would twitch and throb tightening to epic proportions.

Each time he could feel Alex getting close Kelley would back off. Time and time again bringing him to the brink before pulling his mouth and hand away. Alex would whimper and wiggle, unable to lay still. He was so out of it that he words were reduced to grunts and groans.

When Kelley was satisfied that he had sufficiently teased Alex, he pulled off his cock with a pop. Using the spit that was now covering his hand, he coated his own cock with it before laying on top of Alex, lining their cocks up.

His body fitting tightly to Alex’s. Wrapping one arm around Alex’s shoulders, holding as close to him as he could, both needing the closeness this position gave them. Kelley began thrusting his cock against Alex’s.

“I’ve got you, baby. Just feel.”

Profanities had started to spill from Alex’s mouth. Kelley’s whole body was so overwhelmed by the slide and friction of their cocks he felt like he could’ve blown his load at any moment, hoping that Alex was feeling even a silver of what he was.

Alex had begun to counter thrust, writhing his tight body under Kelley. His head was tipped back, the muscles of his neck corded and straining.

“That’s it, baby. Let go.”

Release Blitz + Review - SNATCH by Marie James

Title: Snatch
Series: Cerberus MC #5 (Standalone)
Author: Marie James
Genre: M/M Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 13, 2017

Blurb

I’ve been Jaxon Donovan since the day I was born, obviously. My road name, Snatch, came years later due to my ability to literally snatch up any woman I set my sights on. I’ve always been a connoisseur of the opposite sex. Tall, short, thin, thick and juicy, my tastes knew no limitations.

I didn’t think there was a limitation to my sexuality, and I found out just how true that actually was the night my best friend took it upon himself to take me in his mouth. Sure, there’d been close calls before, the slip of a hand or misplaced lips. With our propensity to share women, it’s bound to happen. That fateful night, I was met with pure intention and an experience I never want to forget.

How do you explain to your friends, your brother’s in arms, that your extremely active sexuality has led you to your best friend’s door step? How do you admit, after twenty-six years of heterosexuality, that you’re into something else?

I’ll soon find out that what happens in the dark will always come to light.

Review
5 Stars

This is a new-to-me author and WOW! I was glued to my kindle while reading this. I devoured this overnight it was that good. This is the fifth book in a series but can be read as a standalone. I didn't feel like I was lost, confused or missing pieces of the story. However, it did make me want to go back and pick up the previous books and read their stories as well.

Marie James delivered a sexy, fun and exciting story with Snatch and Itchy. They completely stole a piece of my heart. I really enjoyed this story. I could not put it down nor did I want it to end.

Marie James threw in a mix of elements that I love reading in books. She gives you two sexy guys, bikers, best friends to lovers, first time straight to gay, the struggle with coming out, threesomes...... I mean, come on! She delivered, yo!! And she delivered flawlessly. The chemistry and passion were just oozing from the pages. Snatch and Itchy were smoking fucking hott! And Ms. James killed it at the end and with that damn epilogue! GAH!!!

This had a great story line, wonderful and lovable characters with great character development. The story itself was so damn exciting and consuming it will keep you entertained from the very beginning. I found a new author to look into and Ms. James just gained a new fan.
