REVIEW:
WOW!! This book was really good. It was very well written and the characters were all so loveable.

Isis is afraid to sleep and fears the monster in her dreams. It's been months since she's been able to get a good night's rest. After much convincing from her psychiatrist and her mother to try sleeping pills, Isis agrees to appease her mother. Her mother, Claire, has also been affected by Isis' insomnia and so Isis takes the pills so that her mother will finally get a good rest as well.

After taking the sleeping pills, Isis is finally able to get some rest but not much. Determined to face the monster and take back control of her dreams, Isis confronts the monster. Only it isn't a monster but a handsome man with wings.

David is the protector of Somnium and he has been trying to scare Isis so to not return as there are grave consequences if she is discovered to be there. Once confronted by Isis he challenges to prove that he is real, under conditions that she never to return.

Once David explains the whole gods and diety to Isis, she's confused and tries to fight what she is feeling for David because she knows that they just can't be together. David is very persistent and makes his feelings known to Isis and his family. Though reluctant at first, his family supports him because they just want him to be happy and he has never been in love before.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this story. The story line, the characters, the setting, the gods, the dialogue and all the surprising twists and turns that took place.

I absolutely love the family/friend dynamic. They all have such a strong bond. The relationship between Isis and her mother is so beautiful and loving. Her mother is great and I was laughing at times when they were just goofing around and having a good time. As with the relationship between David and his mother, Nyx. David and his brothers are very well spoken and respectful. The friendship bond between them all was great to see as well to have such a strong supportive group of characters.

David and Isis fall in love and want to be together but there are some obstacles along the way. The jealous ex-boyfriend who returns and wants Isis back and starts threatening and harassing Isis and her friends. And let's not forget the laws of the diety that they a god can't be with a human.

David is madly in love and sacrifices his immortality to be with Isis as he wants nothing more. He is so romantic and poetic, showering her with his love.

But what happens when you found out that you may not be human after all? Isis finds out some very surprising news about her biological father and the clock is ticking until she becomes 'coming of age' as they call it and becomes a Creatura.

An absolutely great Paranormal/YA story, with a Holy cliffhanger!! If Paranormal, Suspense, YA Romance is your type than yes definitely read it. I cannot wait to read the next book and find out what happens next.
